Dr. Fred Gingrich was raised in Findlay, Ohio and is a 1995 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. From 1995 to 1997 he was an associate veterinarian in Visalia, CA, working for large dry lot and free stall dairy farms. In 1998 he co-founded Keystone Veterinary Services, a mixed animal practice in Ashland, Ohio. In 2007 he became sole owner of Country Roads Veterinary Services, a mixed animal, but primarily dairy practice and Ashland Veterinary Clinic, a small animal practice.
He currently serves on the American Veterinary Medical Association Clinical Practitioners Advisory Committee and is the chair of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners Council on Pharmaceutical and Biologics issues. He was a committee member for the development of the current National Milk Producers Federation Residue Avoidance Manual. He is the past winner of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners Preventative Medicine Dairy Award.
